BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test) is a computer based online test. This test is conducted every year for admission to the Integrated First Degree Programmes at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. BITS Pilani is a deemed university, it has the campus at four places – Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. All questions in this test are objective type questions i.e. each question has a choice among four answers, each correct answer contains 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark). The eligibility for this test is - candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination with the minimum of aggregate 75% marks from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and mathematics. At least 60% marks in each of the physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects and should also have adequate proficiency in English. Only candidates who are appearing for the 10+2 examination in admission year or who have passed the 10+2 examination in the previous year of admission year are eligible to appear in the BIT SAT test.
