IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts a CWE (Common Written Exam) every year for the clerical cadre in multiple banks all over the country. The IBPS Clerk Common Written Exam is occurred in two phases - Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Both these papers follow an online method of conducting the written examination. Students have to qualify both exams to get selected for the Public Sector Banks. The selection for the posts of Public Sector Banks is completely based on these two examinations, there is no interview process for the selection of candidates.
